Drop-down list for Select field1 is populated from the database. User clicks on required option. Let's call this 'Zones'. Now the drop-down for field2 must be populated using the zone selected in field1 in the SQL (in other words, a list of all vendors in zone1). Database changes frequently, so populating drop-downs MUST be dynamic.

What is an elegant way of doing this - ie. what's the best place to put the code for populating the second drop-down?
