    Default How can I do an only connection to the database?

    I need to do an only one connection to the data base, and for that I was thinking to put it in the application_onstart event.<BR>I need this connection will be always open to use in all the sessions.<BR>How I can do that?<BR><BR>Thanks,<BR>Paco Marin.<BR>pacomarin@usa.net

    You have to instantiate an ADODB connection Object in your Application_OnStart Event in the global.asa file.<BR><BR>Set Conn = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")<BR>Obvious ly, you also have to create a RecordSet and or a Command Object to help extract data from the database.<BR><BR>Look under the ADO Object in the help files<BR>Also look for Connection,RecordSet and Command Object Syntax as you may find it useful.<BR><BR>
