    Default Frames

Ok heres the deal, i have a page with 2 frames on it a main frame and a nav bar frame and of course the parent frame(the whole window). I want this to happen: when the user clicks on a certain link on the navbar its opens the new page over both frames so that the old navbar is replaced with a differnt one and the main frames page is replaced with the page the user selected, how ever heres the catch, I want a certain page to be displayed in the main frame depending on what link the user selected, but i walways want the same navbar and parent frame to be opened nomatter what link the user clicks on, is there a way to tell which link the user clicked on inorder to tell the code which frame to open
