Default SA Fileup SaveAsBlob problems

I am editing a site that I did not build and have a problem using SA Fileups SaveAsBlob method. The site uploads a file and saves it as long binary data into the database (it's a terrible system but we're trying to work around it). The code works perfectly for files up to about 40Kb in size but any files bigger than this are rejected with an ado error:

ADODB.Field error '80020009'

Arguments are of the wrong type, are out of acceptable range, or are in conflict with one another.

The code is copied directly from the SA sample code mind you.

The issue: we have duplicated the site to another industry and the database and code are 100% identical however we do not have any problems on this other site. Therefor, one would establish that the only difference is the server that it's running on. The sites are housed at an ISP and they say there is nothing wrong but obviously there is!!!

My question to you brilliant people is: Is it possible in IIS 5 to 'cap' or limit the amount of data that can be sent through a form? becuase this is the only thing I can imagine it could be... Could there be a cached file limit or something??? so that if the file is over 40K, the saveasblob will error ???? please help, anybody!!
