Default Query Parser

    Greetings Gurus,

I'm looking for a script or component, or at least some guiding advice, to help me with parsing an SQL query into parts. What I need is to be able to grab the table name and where clause from a SQL statement.

I've played around a bit in VB with doing this, but everything I've tried is big and clunky.

Anyone know if there is anything already out there?

Thanks,
Neils Christoffersen

    Not sure what you're asking.

strSQL = SELECT * FROM tableName WHERE field = var"

and you want the tablename from this string? Some simple string manipulation will do I guess. Check the MID and Instr functions.
