    Default passing data without a form?

    i am trying to pass data to another asp page, depending on what a user clicked on with NO FORMS. i am basically generating links from a database search, then i wish for the user to be taken to another page generated by a database search that contains the record informaion. thnx.

    HEllo Peter!<BR><BR>Hmm.. maybe you should try this - Let&#039s say the record information is output as a link, then you can make the link as, say,<BR><BR>&#060;a href="nextpage.asp?record=12345&item=shirt"&#062; Click here &#060;/a&#062;<BR><BR>and when the user clicks, it&#039ll go to a page called nextpage.asp and there, you have to get the values using, say<BR><BR>recNo = request.querystring("record")<BR>itemName = request.querystring("item")<BR><BR>there are a few other ways to pass data without using forms, using Session variables and cookies.<BR><BR>Hope this helps.<BR><BR>Rookie<BR>
