Default More with CLOBS...

    Here is my problem. I am trying to insert into a CLOB but I get an error if there is more than 4000 characters. I have found out it will work in perl if the following is added to

$dbh->{LongReadLen}=4000000; Set to 4 GIG
$dbh->{LongTruncOk}=1;

I am assuming that something needs to be set withing ASP (or IIS) to make these variables hold more data. Does anyone know how to do this? I would appreciate any help on this.

Thanks,

Brian

    CLOBs? Forgive my stupidity, but what is a CLOB.

A variable should hold up to about 4 billion characters in Windows 95+, or, to be precise, up to 4,294,967,295 (four billion, two hundred and ninety four million, nine hundred and sixty seven thousand, two hundred and ninety five) characters, or (2^32)-1.

I am assuming you mean a variable, because from the little I know of pearl, variables start with a $.
