That that message that you can't reply to has its ThreadID set to -1 for some reason (instead of the MsgID, as it should, since it's the first message in the thread). Odd. Doing a search there are exactly 53 such messages in the database (messages whose threadID = -1). I guess I could do:<BR><BR>UPDATE table<BR>SET ThreadID = MsgID<BR>WHERE ThreadID = -1<BR><BR>but I'd probably forget to add the WHERE ThreadID = -1 and then the messageboard would explode. I wish I had more faith in myself.
Have you blown the message board up before? Done somethoing to cause you to lose faith in yourself?<BR><BR>Not that I'm better....I accidentally dropped a table once. On a production application. It was Access, and the enarest recent backup was at my house, so I have to drive frantically home to re-upload the DB, and get everything working again.
dropped a few hundred records and then sat with the DBAs restoring it<BR><BR><BR>now what i do is fist select all the data...check what it returns and then delete "select * from" and dype in "delete"<BR><BR><BR>a small self check <BR><BR>
