Default Problem with disconnecting recordset

    Hi All,

I have a question in regards to disconnecting a recordset.

The code is as follows;

Dim [Recordset]
Set [Recordset] = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.recordset")
[Recordset].CursorLocation = adUseClient

Set [Recordset] = [Connection].Execute([Stored Procedure])
[Recordset] .ActiveConnection = Nothing

I am getting the error:

ADODB.Recordset error '800a0e79'
Operation is not allowed when the object is open.

If I open the recordset with the SQL statement in the stored procedure I can disconnect the recordset, it appears that when I use SET [recordset] = xxx I have the problem.

Is this a limitation or am I doing something wrong?!

Any advice appreciated!
