    Default Mailing address - Is it possible?

    I am looking for a solution to find potential duplicates of mailing addresses. Users have entered data in different formats and this has resulted in duplicate records.<BR><BR>For instance,<BR><BR>111 Main Street<BR>111 Main St.<BR>111 Main St<BR><BR>OR<BR><BR>111 W. Main St.<BR>111 West Main Street<BR>111 W. Main Street<BR><BR>etc....<BR><BR>Does anyone have any ideas or seen anything like this?<BR><BR>Thanks.

    Default See it all the time...

    in geographic information systems which you probably don&#039;t have.<BR><BR>The way a GIS deals with this is by using a soundex and then address matching the data to an electronic map (like street centerlines). <BR><BR>Some databases support the use of a soundex, SQL Server for instance.
