Howdy all, I'm trying to create a simple filter using an HTTPHandler. Basically, all I want it do is create an entry in the event log and the perform a server.transfer on to the page that the client is requesting. I've added an entry in the web.config file that looks like this:

<httpHandlers>
<add verb="*" path="*.aspx"
type="Simple.BMGHttpHandler, ClassLibrary1"
/>
</httpHandlers>

However, when I try to perform the server. transfer I get the following error:

Source Error:

An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below.

Stack Trace:

[HttpException (0x80004005): Error executing child request for target.aspx.]
System.Web.HttpServerUtility.ExecuteInternal(Strin g path, TextWriter writer, Boolean preserveForm) +1681
System.Web.HttpServerUtility.Transfer(String path, Boolean preserveForm) +24
System.Web.HttpServerUtility.Transfer(String path) +79
Simple.BMGHttpHandler.ProcessRequest(HttpContext context)
System.Web.CallHandlerExecutionStep.Execute() +179
System.Web.HttpApplication.ExecuteStep(IExecutionS tep step, Boolean& completedSynchronously) +87

Any ideas how I might get around this issue? It seems like there has to be a way (response.redirect just causes in infinite loop!)

Thank in advance,

Tripp
