thats why i said use an applet.<BR><BR>the applet runs on the client but communicates with the server constantly, thats why the content is always fresh.<BR>asp simply spits out the output of a processed asp page to the client and is through.<BR><BR>i guess you could make an asp page that used a meta tag to refresh itself constantly, but that would be crazy.
And they operate on entirely different priciples. It isn't a matter of picking the one you want.<BR><BR>Yes...The best way *would* be to use a Java driven app. <BR><BR>And yes, you *can* fake it in ASP, using a hidden frame that you refech on a regular basis. Not as good as the Java solution though.
