When you enter a value in a textbox (ex. a search text), IE shows you old values (in a listbox) entered previously in the same textbox.
What I want is to delete in asp these values in the way that the user must respond with a new value without select it from older values.

thanks
JC
Those values are stored in the user's registry settings, and as such are inaccessible from ASP or client-side scripting.

You could write an ActiveX component which removed these values from their registry, but they won't be too happy with you. Plus you're going to have to get someone to actually download it.

Which no-one in their right minds will do.

Craig.
...that is also controlled by IE itself, meaning you have no control over it.

For security's sake, it probably doesn't store things in https environments, so you may be able to use that to your advantage...

Sorry.

Craig.
