Default Problem formatting a querystring

Got a simple piece of code that creates a log from a database. I have giving the user the option of deleting that log entry by just writing it to the page if they are in a certain group. However, I keep getting a type mismatch trying to create the query string. I ahve tried to format the string 10 different ways, but none work.

This is the line I am getting the error on.

Response.Write "<a href=deleteDiary.asp?ID=" + DID + ">Delete</a>"

I assign DID earlier in the code, it is just an integer number. HOw do I get Response.Write to not crap out when it hits that integer?

If I do this

<a href=deleteDiary.asp?ID=<% = DID %> >Delete</a>

Everything works, but I don't like it that way because I am trying to use Response.Write to build all my HTML.

    Default Use & not +

You combine strings in VB Script with &
Response.Write "<a href=deleteDiary.asp?ID=" & DID & ">Delete</a>"
