Default Removing tags from text

I have a string with MS Word <SPAN> tags and some other weird tags. How do I search the sring for "<SPAN" and remove from this point until I find ">", the closing part? I will need to loop until there are no more <SPAN> tags.

I suppose Javascript is the way to go?

    JavaScript?

Your BEST bet is to use regular expressions, which javascript will be able to help you with. You CAN use regular expressions in server-side VBScript (ASP 3.0), but they're slow compared to JavaScript's versions.

Have a quick search on Google for regular expressions in javascript - I'm sure you'll find some stuff on it.

Craig.
