Default Simple Question --- Alert("THIS IS A TEST" -- Doe

    I have a question about why my alert box is not working. I am essentially trying to call a sub routine from my ASP page and raise an alert box if a condition is met.

Can someone help.

<%@Language = VBScript%>
<% Language = VBSCRIPT runat=server
sub mysub()

prompt "THIS IS CANCELLING"
end sub

%>

<%

myvar = Request.Form("entertimesheet")
&#039CASE 1: Modify Timesheet
if ucase(myvar) = "MODIFY TIMESHEET" THEN
Session("Status_DataEntry") = ""
Response.redirect ("enterts.asp")
End If

&#039CASE 2: Cancel
if ucase(myvar) = "CANCEL" THEN
Session("Status_DataEntry") = ""
mysub()
&#039Response.redirect ("main.asp")
End If

    Default RE: Simple Question --- Alert(

    You cant have alert in Server side but u can call the Alert from server side like this
Response.write("<script language=""javascript"">alert(""Hi"")</script>")
so it writes this in client side from the server side call.
