Default Disconnected Recordsets

I have a question about disconnected recordsets. All of the examples I have seen deal with connecting to a database, retrieving the data, then disconnecting from the database.

But it is possible to load data manually into a recordset without connecting to a database?

For example, is there a way to build my own recordset like this:
Set rs = New ADODB.Recordset
rs.Append
rs("UserID") = "123"
rs("Password") = "test"
rs.MoveNext
rs("UserID") = "456"
rs("Password") = "password"

Thanks,

    Default Why bother though...

Disconnected recordsets are better suited to distributed applications... not really a dire need for them for a web based solution.
