Default It works, but it doesn't work

    I'm trying to use an SQL statement to update a column in my database. The statement successfully updates the DB, however, I get an error message that stops the page from being displayed.

Error:
ADODB.Recordset (0x800A0E78)
Operation is not allowed when the object is closed.

Code:
strSQLInsertBillingDate = "UPDATE tblTrafficTransaction SET BillingDate = '" & strBillingDate & "' WHERE TransDate <= '" & strBillingDate & "' AND tblTrafficCustomer$CustNum = '" & intCustNum & "'"
set objRS = objConn.Execute(strSQLInsertBillingDate)

objRS.Close
set objRS = Nothing

The line objRS.Close is where the error occurs.
Can anyone give me clue as to what the problem is.

Thanks so much
BCH
