    Default Database query syntax Error

    Halo,<BR><BR>I got this error message:<BR><BR>Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error &#039 80040e07&#039 <BR><BR>[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Data type mismatch in criteria expression. <BR><BR>My input parameter are through a text box. But the data type field in database is long integer. Is this the reason why i get the above error msg and how do i solve this problem?<BR><BR>Thank you<BR><BR>

    Yes, it probably is. People can type anything in a textbox, try using a "varchar" in the database instead.<BR><BR>Mark.

    You can convert the data inputed to a long integer using CLng()<BR><BR>Or simple check the data being inputed and force the user to insert the data you require
