Default deleting a record

I have an access db with two tables, one table with a field formated as a number and the other table has a field formated as text. How can I make the value i get from table one to delete all matching records in table two in a right way?
I get this error:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80040E07)
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Data type mismatch in criteria expression.

But all fields in table two is deleted.

I always thought that in order to join two tables together, the joining fields must be the same datatype (could be wrong though). You could try using cint, cstr etc..... or alternatively, could u not change the design of your table so both joining fields are integers?
