    Default Extra Characters

Hello All,<BR>I&#039;m using: <BR>&#060;input type=hidden name="mmNumber"&#062;<BR>On one page and:<BR>mmNum = new String(Request.Form("mmNumber")); <BR>to grab a value from the prior page. The string has a couple of extra characters.. one that appears as a comma and another that cannot be seen. I need to count the characters and then remove the last two. Does anyone know why this happens and how I can prevent it?<BR>Thanks in advance.

comma will appear if you have two of the same field name. Do you have two fields named mmNumber? if so the data from both will be returned separated by a comma. Your other character may come from the same cause.
