If I remember correctly, there are ADO methods that could handle the request directly. I've looked around and can't find an example.

Can anyone help?

Thank you.
Steve

Currently:

Dim sSQL

' Build update stmt
sSQL = "UPDATE LANDSCAPE_DETAIL SET landscape='" & request("landscapeDetailValue") & _
"', USER_MODIFIED = " & session("USER_ID") & " WHERE LANDSCAPE_DETAIL_ID = " & iLandscapeDetailID

' execute SQL
Set dbconn = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
dbconn. Open connODBC
set rs = dbconn.Execute(sSQL)

'clean up
set sSQL = nothing
'rs.close
set rs = nothing
dbconn.close
set dbconn = nothing
