Hello all,

I'm an "advanced beginner" with ASP looking for a way to use the MS Office Web Components to do some reporting from a remote database. Our internal client is used to a spreadsheet metaphor and really likes the ability to format to their heart's content as well as export to Excel. I was initially excited about using them, but I find that you can't use the Spreadsheet component to open a remote URL - it has to be a local file. I can easily generate the database code on the ASP server - is there a way to somehow get the HTML contents of the URL down to the client to manipulate it? Or would another way be better?

Thanks in advance

Jim Stanley
Jacobs Engineering Group
Pasadena CA
