I need to submit an xml document to a socket connection ip address and port using asp. Is there someone out there that can point me in the right direction.
Thanks
Just use the winsock object... check out MSDN.

Be forewarned, you can only do UDP from ASP, not TCP -- but it doesn't look like you'lll need that.
That you can call from ASP. You can't make direct socket connections from ASP natively.
Doesn't it allow specific ports?

-Doug
Thought you were more versed in that component than I am. Egghead is probably the best at it...

So I don't know if you can specify a port or not... plus what if the server program doesn't expect the document format or something?
XML is new to me.. could you point me in the right direction to use this.. I will be using a specific port.
thanks,
Could you give me some hints on how
Also a search on any ASP site will return articles.

And a search on Google will return enough to make your ears bleed.

-Doug
