Default Synchronizing databases

    Hi folks,

I am relatively new to working with SQL Server and am not quite clued up on its capabilities so wonder if anyone can give me a little advice.

For a project I am working on I need to synchronise 2 SQL Server databases and am unsure the best method to do this. During this synchronisation I also need to check whether any rows have been deleted from one database but, instead of deleting them from the other database, mark the corresponding row as inactive.

Can anyone please advise me on the best way to do this or point me in a direction where I might find some information.

Thanks.

SuzyB

    Default is a great resource.

Whenever I'm doing any heavy database work, I visit there often.

-Doug
