Hello!

I am currently attempting to configure our NT web server to run an ASP component. The component consists of two ASP files, an Access database and a DLL. Our server is set up so as to be ASP capable, and ASP files are processed by the server.

The instructions for this calendar call for the registration of the DLL (which was done without any error messages) and the assignment of a DSN to the database.

Here is the directory structure:

wwwroot/calendar/calendears (contains the ASP files)
&#124--------&#124-----/component (contains the DLL)
&#124--------&#124-----/database (contains the Access DBF)

My questions are:

1) The calendar fails on this line of the ASP:

Set ObjCalendar = Server.CreateObject("Generic.Calendar")

Wha t kinds of permissions need to be set to what files and directories?? We have gone through the directory and file rights and we think we have all that need to be changed changed. However, we could be missing something.

2) The error that occurs is a runtime error:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error &#039 800a01ad&#039
ActiveX component can&#039t create object

Research into this error states that it is a permissions error. Could it also be a runtime error? We check and re-installed VB6 runtime files on the NT server (per the request of the provider of the calendar) with no success. Is there a way we can check to make sure the runtime files are present and properly installed?

Any help that anyone can give would be greatly appreciated. If you have any information, please e-mail a copy to chrish040642@hotmail.com .

Thank you for your help.

CH
