    hi,<BR><BR>when i run a script "http://myserver/kava/tree/brows.asp" on my local web server, i wish to display "http://myserver/kava/tree/brows.asp" (more exactly i want to show "http://myserver/kava/tree/") using ASP<BR><BR>When i try the following, i&#039;m not able to get the entire URL...the servername & protocol do not show up<BR><BR>response.write("<BR>PATH translated= " & request.servervariables("PATH_TRANSLATED"))<BR>res ponse.write("<BR>script name = " & request.servervariables("SCRIPT_NAME"))<BR>respons e.write("<BR>PATH INFO = " & request.servervariables("PATH_INFO"))<BR>response. write("<BR>URL = " & request.servervariables("url"))<BR><BR>gives this ---<BR><BR>script name = /kava/tree/brows.asp<BR>PATH INFO = /kava/tree/brows.asp<BR>URL = /kava/tree/brows.asp<BR><BR>tfyt<BR><BR><BR>

    Default You might want to...

    ...take a look at:<BR><BR>http://www.cgi101.com/class/ch3/env.cgi<BR><BR>That is a list of all CGI "environment variables" from a Unix server. They are EXACTLY THE SAME as the ASP Request.ServerVariables collection.<BR><BR>From that, you can probably figure out what you need to concatenate.<BR><BR>Craig.
