Default Caching graphics!!!

    I have an ASP page that displays graphics and also retrieves data from a database, I would like to be able to get the live content from the database each time the page is loaded but to have the graphics cached. Right now I am using <% Response.Expires = 0%> which seems to cause the whole page to re-load. Any ideas would be appreciated.
- Rick

    One possible solution...your mileage may vary. Note the use of frames in WebPage One and the placement of the Response object Expires property setting in WebPages Two and Three.

WebPage One: historical_Framed.asp
WebPage Two: historical_Image.asp
WebPage Three: historical_Data.asp

************ WebPage One Contents ************

<%@ Language=VBScript %>

&#0 60;/HEAD>
<frameset rows="*,*">
* <frame src="historical_Image.asp" scrolling="yes">
* <frame src="historical_Data.asp" scrolling="yes">
</frameset>

************ WebPage Two Contents ************

<%@ Language=VBScript %>
<% Response.Expires=1200 %>

************ WebPage Three Contents ************

<% Response.Expires=0 %>

Back
<%
Response.Write "
Patience is its own reward....Page Powered by Access97
"
Response.Write("
")
On Error Resume Next
Dim SN, oRS, RecCount, strSQL, oField, intCount, rowCount
SN = "RexMS"
strSQL = "SELECT * FROM AzHistorical"
Response.Write("SELECT AZ.FeatureName FROM AZ WHERE (((AZ.FeatureName) Like &#039*istoric*&#039))")
Response.Write("<BR& gt;
")
Set oRS = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.RecordSet")
oRS.Open strSQL, "DSN=wbGnAcc97"
&#039oRS.Open
oRS.MoveFirst()
Response.Write("<b&#06 2;Row#, Placename, FeatureType, County, FIPS, GeoCoord, SourceCoord, Elev., TopoMap")
Do While Not oRS.EOF
  For intCount = 0 to (oRS.Fields.Count -1) Step 1
  Response.Write(oRS.Fields(intCount).Value & ", ")
  Next
  Response.Write "
"
  oRS.MoveNext
  rowCount = rowCount + 1
Loop
strSQL = ""
oRS.Close
Set oRS = Nothing
If rowCount < 1 Then rowCount=0
Response.Write("<f ont color=red>ROWS RETURNED = " & rowCount & "")
%>
<BR&gt
<BUTTO N name="retBut" size="25" LANGUAGE=vbscript onclick="return retBut_onclick()">
Back
