    Hi,<BR><BR>Can anyone help me with this? I&#039;ve got an error statment : <BR><BR>Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error &#039;80040e14&#039; <BR>[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Line 3: Incorrect syntax near &#039;m&#039;. <BR><BR>I can&#039;t figure out what&#039;s wrong, I am trying to update certain fields in a particular record,(strsql = "UPDATE tb_user SET ")<BR><BR>In the error statement it also said the error is in the region of the following code :<BR><BR> <BR>objConn.BeginTrans <BR> objConn.Execute strsql<BR> if err.number = 0 then<BR> objConn.CommitTrans <BR><BR>I have checked the sql statement and everything is correct. What type of error is that?<BR><BR>many thanks

    Yep, the error occurred on the line objConn.Execute strsql<BR><BR>Incorrect syntax means just that. Your SQL has incorrect syntax. Post your sqlstr.

    Default Most like an apostrophe...

    Do a replace on your data.<BR><BR>See the FAQ on that - it might be your problem.<BR><BR>-Doug
