I am not able to view xml file having special charcters ( e.g. São Paulo - see the character on top of a) in Internet Explorer. The error message is : An invalid character was found in text content. Error processing resource.
Is there a way to program using Microsoft DOM or in ASP to load the xml file having these special characters.
To reproduce this error copy and paste this into notepad and save the file with an .xml extension, and then view it in IE
<CITY>São Paulo</CITY>

    DDewan

You'll need to escape the character using the Unicode equivalent. So to do a tilde, it should be something like:

Sa~o Paulo

See http://www.hclrss.demon.co.uk/unicode/basic_latin.html for a fuller list and http://www.hclrss.demon.co.uk/unicode/ for a list of other character sets.

Hth

Franco
