Default converting a word file to a txt file

    Hi All,

I am trying to convert a word document to a text file through a VB DLL. This DLL is called by an ASP program that freezes. When I copied the code and executed it as a VB EXE, during the conversion I get the following pop-up message box.

File in Use..

File.doc is locked for editing by another user.Click notify to open a read only copy of the document and receive notification when the document is no longer in use.

If I try to delete the directory that hosts the word document, I get a sharing violation and the file is currently used, while I don't see the file being accessed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Default Have you got the VB code?

If you have then you can debug it and/or post the relevant bit here. If not then I think you're probably stuck - can't fix a program without the code. The sharing violation is probably because the component doesn't close the document/end Word automation properly.
