    Default Accessing Excel on intranet

    Hi,<BR><BR>Is it possible to access Excel (available on intranet) from VBScript ?<BR>I&#039;m getting following error when I tried it.<BR>Address is correct as I&#039;m able to open this file from browser.<BR><BR>Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error &#039;80004005&#039; <BR><BR>[Microsoft][ODBC Excel Driver] Invalid internet address. <BR><BR><BR><BR>Set objConnection = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection") <BR>Set RS = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Recordset")<BR><BR>SQL = "Select * from [Sheet1$]"<BR><BR>objConnection.ConnectionString = "DBQ=http://webserv1/business/reports/Week 3.xls;DRIVER=Microsoft Excel Driver (*.xls);"<BR>objConnection.Open<BR><BR>set RS.ActiveConnection = objConnection<BR><BR>RS.Open SQL<BR><BR>THANKS

    Default Can pull from http://, use UNC.

    If the file is on your LAN, just do:<BR>\webserv1usiness
    eportsweek 3.xls<BR><BR>I&#039;ve never heard of using http:// for the DBQ reference. I thought that it always excepted a path. Either a physical path or a UNC path.<BR><BR>-Doug

    &nbsp;<BR>Can you only read Excel files on the Intranet under its directory, or can you read it from other parts of the network e.g. g:finance<BR><BR>Redeem
