Default Ready-Only Database?

I recently switch my Web site from a hosting company to a server at my home. However, one problem I have now is that I cannot write to my Access database, though I can read from it. I am using Windows 2000 Advanced Server and have the database folder on Web share with write access checked. The actual database file is not read only, according to the file properties. Here's the error I get:

--
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Cannot update. Database or object is read-only.

/subscription/index.asp, line 32
--

Can anyone suggest how I might be able to fix this or offer a few things I should check? Thank you.
Did you make sure the directory has write permissions?
