    Hi,<BR><BR>I&#039;ve created a script that used the index server admin objects to define my catalog and set the directory scopes.<BR><BR>What I have been unable to find is how to set a value from script that is available from the MMC Snap-in.<BR><BR>If you look at the properties of a catalog in index server , there is a tracking tab with a "WWW Server" property.<BR>How do I set this property from script?<BR><BR>Indexing Service Start Page:<BR><BR><BR><BR>

    Couldn&#039;t find this in the MSDN help, but noticed there was a registry key<BR>which you could probably programmatically add:<BR><BR>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControl SetControlContentIndexCatalogsCATALOG_NAME<BR>Set &#039;IsIndexingW3Svc&#039; = 1<BR>And &#039;W3SvcInstance&#039; = 1 (where 1 is the web site instance number)<BR><BR>There are a couple of ways of adding registry keys using the command line <BR>or even SQL2K...<BR><BR>
