Default Integrating a poll into a web page

I have a working poll and I want to integrate my code into a web page. That is, have the poll show up in a corner when a page is loaded. If the user votes, then I just want the page to refresh with the same web page, only the poll portion now lists results. I have seen this done on many web sites and I am trying to figure out the best way to get this done. My proposal now is to have an initial poll.asp page that shows the entire web page with the poll code formatted in a poll section. Then if the user votes, I call a pollresults.asp page that has the same web page html but with the voting results in the poll section instead. Is there an easier way to do this than what I have mentioned? Can you use frames or tables to just update the poll section instead of the whole page?
