    Default sql query

    i know that a sql statment like this one: <BR><BR>query="select * from table where some_name=&#039;"&request.form("name")&"&#039;" <BR><BR>will compare the some_name field from the database with the text requested in the form. But this is to compare a text string. What if i would like to compare a number. a number field? the sintax is different but i dont know how it is. please help! thanks

    Default easy

    The only difference is that you take out the single quotes like so:<BR><BR>&#060;%<BR>query = "select * from table where some_number = " & request.form("some_number") <BR>%&#062;<BR><BR>I hope this helps!<BR><BR>Edward<BR>http://www.1st-R8.com<BR>
