There was an interesting article posted on using SQL Set Notation, i.e. DELETE * IN TABLE WHERE RECORDNUMBER IN (4, 5, 6, 7) etc. to simplify batch deletes. Does anyone know, however, a similar way to use set notation or something like it to do batch updates. This would be something like UPDATE TABLE SET FIELD1 = (chevy,ford,jeep),FIELD2 = (impala, taurus, wagoneer) WHERE RECORDNUMBER IN (4,5,6).

Am trying to avoid looping through multiple update queries. (this method is suggested in an article on batch updates but gets rather lengthy in case of multiple records.)

Thanks, Michael
