Default RE: VB.NET or C#?

Most all of the books coming out on ASP.NET are either in both VB.NET and C# or provide C# examples on the Web site. Also, while I think _most_ Web sites will default to VB.NET examples, there are a number of Web sites dedicated to C#, such as:

etc.

Default From the mouth of Microsoft..

C# will eventually replace Visual Basic, and with any luck, C++.

If you have to go through the problem of learning OOP, might as well go the C# route. That way, with the syntax similarities, it won't be much to pick up on C++/Java/JavaScript/PHP.
