Default Automating Script

I have created a dll that must be executed every so often by the system. I've read somewhere on this site that I can do it through windows scripting host. My problem is how to call this dll (from asp or from a .vbs file?), and run this asp/vbs file automatically every so often?

Thanks for your help.

    Default RE: Automating Script

You would create a WShell script (.VBS file) that is executed by Windows Script Host.

Look into the Task Scheduler. It is how you can schedule a task to be executed at regular intervals.

-Doug

Default .vbs files are VBScript WShell isn't needed

Just put the .vbs file in task manager.

dim oMyDLL
Set oMyDll = CreateObject("MYDLLClassName")
' example Set oConn = CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
oMyDLL.DoStuff
Set oMyDll = nothing
