Default Communicator Slow Response Time

Are there any tricks/tips to getting Communicator to respond more quickly?

I have a script that is pulling info from the database and there are a couple of "Do.. While.." loops within this script. With in the loop I am performing a "response.write" depending on the value of a couple of fields within the recordset. There really isn't any other significant "memory monsters" other than that... no dictionary objects, etc. The recordset being pulled is rather small (no more than 100 records). In Netscape 6.0, and IE 4 the response time is acceptable. In Netscape communicator, the response time is at least 4 minutes per page.

Any help, tips, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Default Response.Flush

You could do Response.Flush statements each time you do a Response.Write.

You'll have to be careful with any Redirects you have around.

You'll also need a Response.Buffer = True at the top of the page.

Craig.

    post the code !
sounds like you could put the condition of your response.write statements into the sql statement - this would save you looping through the whole table ...
