RE: Firing a Session.Abandon command when user clo
(i)No! you don't have any options to call the session.abandon method.
(ii) why do you want to call the session.Abandon method. Any way the session get expired as soon as the user closes the browser window.

Gowda.
email@example.com
(i) Sure you can, but it is possible the user has still another window open so he actually still is on your site.

(ii) the session times out after 20 mins (default) without activity. So when the user closes the window it is possible that the session remains active for another 20 minutes. The session DOES NOT time out when an user closes the browser window.
If the site's large enough and interesting enough.

I mean, if I'm comparing two Hi Fi separates, I'll have one in one window and another in the other, so I can compare the two...

You can't code under the impression that NO-ONE will have two windows open, or people'll get very upset.

Craig.
