What does Index Server say?

Open up the Index Server section and it should have a list of its catalogs on the right-hand pane (IIS5). What is the status of the catalogs?

One trick I've learnt is to stop users from querying a catalog when it is initially being built/started. If a query happens while this is taking place, the catalog is typically unfinished and will not finish correctly.

If it just seems to have hung, check disk space, etc. If it can't create its index of the site, then it will just seem to die. Also, the catalog may have become corrupt - you can remove it and add it again if you wish (note the settings first).

Craig.
The status of the catalogs is "Started". My machine is a test box. The only querying going on is what I do. I have no other users connected. I have more than 20 gigs of space available.

The reason I ask is that yesterday, it worked perfectly until I added five new pages to be included in the search. None of the new pages could be found until 90 minutes later. I can't believe it takes Index Server 90 minutes to refresh itself.
