Our company used to offer desktop software to our customers to manage their clients. The software used an access db for the backend. Many customers can no longer use the software because of the size limitations and concurrent user limitations of access. We have since developed an online version of the software and all their data is being stored in many sql server boxes. The problem is that with the concern over redundancy, the customers want to have a copy of their data on their desktop. Because they now enter the data online, I have been asked to develop an app that would copy their data from the appropriate sql box to a new database format (foxpro was implied as the db of choice) onto an ftp server. Then write another app that would run on their system where they can connect to the ftp server and download their data. Their system app is to only allow them to view records and not do any editing. So, although most of this isn't really asp stuff, I figured I usually get the best advice from this board, so I'd throw it out for suggestions. Thanks.
