Default Formatting dates

I have a text field on an ASP page. When inserting 01/03/2002, how can I get the system to see 01 March 2002 and not US format without having to write this to a DB. If I do a datediff on 01/03/2002 (datediff("d", "30-Dec-1899", "01/03/2002")) then convert back I get 03/01/2002 so the original date is seen as US format. I need to force UK format from the start.

Can anyone help ?

Session.LCID=2057 will force UK style dates.

BUT beware if you are using Access as Access will ONLY accept US style dates.
