Your trying to perform an internet explorer client action with asp.. Asp is executed on the server not interent explorer.. its parsed before html. What you could do is try to close the window with client-side javascript...

if CStr(Request.QueryString("accessdenied")) <> "" And false Then
MM_redirectLoginSuccess = Request.QueryString("accessdenied")
End If

'MM_rsUser.Close instead do this
response.write "<script>window.close</script>" ''write client side javascript to the browser

personally I hate trying to control the browser via javascript. What if javascript is disabled? Then your window wont be closed and you have another programming step. Anyways good luck.
