Default Just need a little info to get started

I am working on a website (www.zerogravity-racing.com/newweb) and I am taking the product information (ex: http://www.zerogravity-racing.com/newweb/sportbikes/suzuki_sptbks/suzukisptbks.htm) from an excel spreadsheet. I would like to be able to update information (when it changes. Prices, etc...) by only having to change a certain field in a spreadsheet or something like that. Eventually it is going to be an ecommerce site so with that in mind, what would be the best way for me to get started on this. I have not worked much with ASP but I have read up on it. Also my job is talking about training me in it so I thought this would be a good project to play around with to learn. Also if you click on one of the "info" links (ex: http://www.zerogravity-racing.com/newweb/sportbikes/suzuki_sptbks/171.htm), you can see, I used java script for the double drop down menus. Is there a way to do something like that in asp that would be less tedious? Any information I can get on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Michelle.

    1. drop Excel, use Access instead. Access is a database, Excel isn&#039;t<BR>2. check out some tutorials on managing access with ASp, then build yourself a little admin website through which you can update the DB from a webpage. www.aspin.com is a good place to start<BR><BR>j<BR>http://www.atrax.ws/

Default And the JS for menus...

...is probably the best way to go!<BR><BR>You *can* do this with ASP code (see my demo at http://www.ClearviewDesign.com/NEWBIE), but then you have to take a round-trip from client to server to client for each "click" the user makes!<BR><BR>Stick with your current scheme!<BR><BR>
