Heres my situation. I developed a activeX dll for parsing templates. The idea was to allow production people to not have to deal with spaghetti code. Another programmer came on the team and wanted the flexibility of making his own asp files from stractch and then adding the results to the template. So I used aspTear to "rip" the results of his custom pages onto the main template. This is causing alot of headaches and now we dont really have time to change it now that I know how I could have done it. The problem is a bunch of our pages uses this asptear call. And its opening a bunch sockets. The application seems to get slower and slower. Even with just a few people using it. Ive done a little socket programming so I figured I could just write my own http component that explicitely forces that socket to shutdown immediately and not linger around. Any other ideas?
