Default User Authentication

Does anybody have an exmaple of user authentication (asp IIS) without using session variables? Even with session variables the user can be in a member area right click on an image and thus in the future just paste that url into the browser and therefor in the future still see the image although they may no longer be a member.

you can have iis control the security or you can have your page control it with cookies or sessions (you don't want sessions:)
if you open up the ism (internet service manager) and navigate to the directory (or virtual) you want to protect, right click and choose properties click the directory security tab and de-select "allow anonymous access". now go to the actual directory (through windows) and right click it, choosing its security settings. add or delete users to the list and thats it!

justin
