Default Finding a referring URL?

I've got an asp forum, people don't need to register onto a db, they can just use a simple username/email login page which is stored in a cookie. When they go to look at a message, they may find, if a pc is shared, that the info stored on the cookie needs to be changed - at the moment they have to go back to the login page and then login with the correct info and then find the message again in order to reply to it with the new login details.

Can I store the URL of the page they jump from, so when they have logged in it returns them to that page?

e.g.

Referring URL = message.asp?ID=33

When they go to the login page it takes that URL info in the link, and then once logged in there is a response.redirect on the login response page which returns the user to the page they had just been looking at?

Does that make sense?

Thanks

Jim
