Default Can this be done - asp form and frames?

    I have a search form to search a database. In the standard way the user fills in the form and sends the form contents to the response page.

What I was wanting to do is to have a framepage, with the form on the left frame, and the search results on the right hand side. The idea being that you use the search form and when it is submitted, it stays on the screen and instead sends the variable to the response page in the other part of the frame. So if this worked you could keep searching and then have the search results in a different window.

No doubt not possible, I've never seen it done.

Cheers

Jim

    No probs, create your frameset page, somthing like:
<FRAMESET COLS="25%,*">
<FRAME SRC="MySearchForm.htm">
<FRAME SRC="Results.asp" NAME="results">
</FRAMESET>

Then on your form just target the right frame
<form target=results action=results.asp>
